NUJ Condoles THISDAY Reporter on Father’s Death

Why this is here: The NUJ specifically recognized the late Oba Olufemi Adisa Sodeinde’s 100 years of life and his role as a traditional ruler in Ogun State.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) expressed condolences to Gbenga Sodeinde, a THISDAY correspondent, following the death of his father. Sodeinde’s father, Oba Olufemi Adisa Sodeinde, the Olu of Iiju-Gbalelefa, died at age 100.
The NUJ’s Ekiti State Council released a statement signed by Chairman Kayode Babatuyi and Secretary O’seun Ogunsakin. The statement described the late monarch as a wise and honorable ruler.
The council noted the late Oba’s reign fostered peace and development in Iiju-Gbalelefa, Ogun State. The NUJ extended sympathy to Sodeinde’s family and the community. They also prayed for the family’s strength during this time.
