Oyo State Police rescued a kidnapped man after receiving reports of an abduction and robbery in the Oyo area. Police spokesperson Olayinka Ayanlade stated that hoodlums invaded a community, took a male victim, and stole mobile phones and motorcycles.
The Divisional Police Officer mobilized a team including Amotekun, vigilantes, and local hunters. They searched bushes and escape routes, aided by the Anti-Kidnapping Squad and geolocation tracking. The sustained pressure led to the victim’s escape unharmed.
The rescued man has been reunited with his family and is assisting with the investigation. Police are actively pursuing the fleeing suspects and have increased patrols. They encourage residents to report information and continue their lawful activities.
