Ghana Begins Teacher Trainee Allowance Payments

The Teacher Trainees' Association of Ghana (TTAG) announced the Government of Ghana has begun disbursing trainee allowances to eligible students at Colleges of Education across the country. Payments are being made in batches, prioritizing institutions with fully validated data. TTAG expressed gratitude for the government’s commitment to supporting teacher trainees financially, recognizing the allowances as critical for covering educational and living expenses.

The Association also commended the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, the Student Loan Trust Fund, and college principals for their collaboration in the process.

TTAG is asking trainees at colleges awaiting data validation to be patient, and assures members it will continue to advocate for timely payments. The ongoing disbursement aims to ease financial burdens on future educators as they complete their training.
