Ghana Tourism Authority CEO Enstooled as Safohen

Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, received the stool name Nana Efua Kouguah Nshiraba II during a ceremony in Cape Coast, Ghana. Hundreds attended the traditional event, including government officials and members of the Bentsir No. 1 Asafo Company. The ceremony featured drumming, dancing, and displays of cultural heritage.

The installation recognizes Houadjeto’s leadership and service to the community. As Safohen, she will guide the Asafo Company, promote unity, and support local development initiatives. The role also requires preserving customs and strengthening the company’s cultural contributions.
