K Hospital Celebrates Social Work Day, Aids Patients

K Hospital in Hanoi celebrated Vietnamese Social Work Day on March 24th, honoring support for patients and recognizing contributing organizations. The event acknowledged the hospital’s humanitarian efforts assisting cancer patients.
Tran Dai Phu, a 17-year-old cancer patient, received over 400 million dong from the hospital’s social work department and donors. This funding enabled him to undergo surgery to save his legs and continue treatment.
Hoang Thi Thu, a patient from Cao Bang, expressed gratitude for the community’s support during her three-month hospital stay. Over the past nine years, K Hospital connected with 9,377 organizations and individuals. They mobilized over 137.6 billion dong to support more than 230,000 patients.
The hospital also maintains practical support models. These include charitable kitchens, patient housing, and cancer patient support clubs. K Hospital presented 10 wheelchairs and 50 gifts with financial aid to patients.
