Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteers Aid Digital Transition

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union mobilized over 60,000 volunteers to support citizens with accessing online public services and participating in digital transformation initiatives. The organization is shifting its volunteer campaigns from traditional social welfare and environmental work to focus on digital literacy and assisting with new government models. This includes collaborating with local authorities in 168 wards and communes to help residents with administrative procedures and digital platforms.

The Youth Union is also modernizing its internal operations. It's implementing a dashboard system to track progress and move away from paper-based management.

This data will eventually be used for AI-driven analysis of youth trends. Despite these successes, the organization acknowledges challenges like staffing shortages and difficulties engaging young workers and entrepreneurs.

Looking ahead, the Youth Union plans to expand its "Digital Summer" volunteer program and further integrate digital tools into its operations to better serve the community.
