Artist Phan Minh Bạch Exhibits at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum

Phan Minh Bạch currently presents a solo exhibition at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. This is the artist’s second personal exhibition.

She creates her works using watercolor, acrylic, and gold leaf on traditional silk. Bạch intentionally uses strong gold tones to balance the softness inherent in silk.

The exhibition features five collections painted over four years. These collections tell a story of nature through thousands of years of history—its glories and its declines. One series, “Ru cảnh,” depicts vibrant Vietnamese landscapes and a few admired locations worldwide, expressing a hope for their revival.

Other series explore contrasting styles, including black and white works. One series, “Flow of the Earth,” portrays the movement of the earth and ancient minerals. Though the artist experiments with materials and techniques, the exhibition leaves open questions about the long-term preservation of these delicate works.
