Ukraine Increases Pensions for War Veterans

Ukrainian authorities increased pension payments for participants in combat operations starting in March 2026. The Pension Fund raised payments based on disability groups, with the lowest amount for Group 1 disabilities set at 18,885 hryvnias.

All veterans will receive a minimum pension of 6,197 hryvnias, regardless of age or service length. These increases supplement existing benefits for veterans, including reduced retirement ages, 50 for women and 55 for men with qualifying service, and a 648.75 hryvnia supplement for combat participants.

Veterans can receive only one pension type, requiring them to choose the most financially beneficial option. Additionally, minimum payments to family members of deceased soldiers have also increased following indexation.
