Heat Pump Sales Surge in Europe

Qvantum’s CEO Fredrik Rosenqvist reports record sales of heat pumps across Europe. Demand is increasing due to the energy crisis, political initiatives, and a desire for independence from oil. The company notes this is only the beginning of a growing trend in heat pump purchases.

Superintelligence Computing Systems (SICS) explains that current AI struggles with tasks requiring real-world understanding, like warehouse logistics. They assert that true intelligence involves navigation and building a world model, something missing in today’s large language models.

SICS is developing an AI that learns like a child, building a world model through interaction. Their early version is currently used in warehouse logistics, achieving nearly 100% precision in picking tasks and operating four times faster than a human worker. The company believes solving complex pick-and-place problems is key to achieving Artificial General Intelligence.

The current AI prototype focuses on basic tasks, but SICS aims to expand its capabilities toward more advanced reasoning and assembly. The development of a robust world model remains a central challenge.
