Over 600 million people worldwide still live in extreme poverty, according to recent World Bank reports, with women often facing greater barriers to economic resources. Banu’s work offers a local example of how entrepreneurship can improve livelihoods, but systemic issues of poverty and inequality remain widespread globally.
