Skoda Epiq Confirmed as New Electric Car

Skoda began production of its anticipated Epiq electric vehicle in Pamplona, Spain. The Czech company was chosen by Volkswagen Group to develop more affordable electric cars.

The Epiq is a five-seater SUV measuring 4.17 meters long with a trunk holding 475 liters. It will offer three battery options—37 kWh, 51.7 kWh, and 55 kWh gross—with power ranging from 116 to 211 horsepower.

The Epiq aims to be an accessible option for European families in urban settings. The smallest battery provides roughly 310 kilometers of range, while the largest reaches 440 kilometers based on the WLTP cycle. Skoda equipped the Epiq with a 13-inch central screen running Android, wireless charging, and available heated seats.

The base models’ smaller battery and slower charging may limit its use for frequent long trips. Pricing for the larger battery version starts at 31,350 euros before incentives, but costs for other trims remain unconfirmed. Production continues as Skoda seeks to expand its electric lineup.
