Spanish automaker Ebro presents the s700 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV aiming to blend electric driving for daily commutes with the range of a gasoline engine for longer trips. The vehicle offers a combined electric range of 90 kilometers, with a total range reaching 1,200 kilometers. It also carries the DGT’s “0” emissions label, granting access to restricted city zones in Spain.

The s700 PHEV combines a 1.5 TGDi PHEV engine with an electric motor, achieving a total power of 279 horsepower. It can prioritize electric mode for city driving and switch to hybrid or gasoline power for highways. Ebro states the battery can charge to 80% in about 19 minutes, and the vehicle features a Vehicle-to-Load function to power external devices.

The SUV measures 4.55 meters long and includes features like dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 24 advanced driver-assistance systems. Ebro offers a 7-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty, and the s700 PHEV starts at 28,990 euros with financing and government incentives. However, the vehicle’s environmental impact depends on consistent recharging and driving habits.
