Vietnam to Build Affordable Housing Near Hoi An

Dat Phuong Hoi An is constructing 684 affordable homes in the Con Tien urban area of Hoi An Dong Ward, Da Nang, Vietnam. The project will encompass four seven-story buildings on a 23,935-square-meter site, alongside amenities like a kindergarten and community house.

The development aims to house approximately 2,172 low-income workers by the fourth quarter of 2028 and supports a broader national goal. Vietnam intends to build at least one million social housing units by 2030 to ensure worker welfare and retain a skilled workforce in central Vietnam.

Da Nang recently approved nearly 390 hectares for social housing projects, including land in central wards. Social housing in the city currently sells for between VND16-20.8 million (approximately $610-$790) per square meter, with income requirements for eligibility.
