Thailand Volunteers Rescue 120 Cats From Eviction

Volunteers in Pathum Thani, Thailand relocated 120 cats to a new shelter after their owner faced eviction from a rented property. The landlord requested the animals be removed by July 15, prompting the owner to seek public assistance in June.

Following media coverage, a donor contributed 100,000 baht to build new accommodations. The landlord extended the deadline to allow for completion of the shelter.

Volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation and actor Bin Bunluerit transported the cats on July 16 in enclosed pickup trucks. The shelter is approximately 90% complete, with cat rooms finished ahead of the owner’s living quarters. The owner expressed gratitude for the support which enabled the safe relocation of all 120 cats.
