Prabowo Launches Corn Harvest Festival in Indonesia

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated a nationwide corn harvest festival in Tuban, Indonesia. He pressed a siren alongside farmers, the National Police Chief, and two ministers to launch the event. The festival included the simultaneous harvest of 1,608.76 hectares of corn across land assisted by the National Police.

Prabowo also broke ground on ten food security warehouses built by the police. He inaugurated 166 Polri Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units across the country. He then operated a corn harvester, a machine capable of working on 0.4 hectares each hour, and joined in harvesting corn.

The event showcased innovations like coal-based fertilizer and processing corn cobs into briquettes. The National Police reported on the expected corn harvest for the second quarter of 2026, spanning roughly 189,760 hectares. Future reports will reveal whether these initiatives achieve sustained food security.
