Kerala Residents Paint Homes for Football Teams

In Mekkad, India, Salu Paul and Joy Uthuppu transformed their homes into vibrant tributes to Brazil and Argentina respectively. Salu Paul has maintained his “House of Brazil” in green and yellow since 2006, expressing a year-round dedication to the team.

Joy Uthuppu painted his home in Argentina’s blue and white, including the Sun of May emblem, after being unable to attend the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

Both men view their homes as enduring expressions of their passion for football and its central role in their lives. Their decorated homes demonstrate a deep, personal connection to the sport that extends beyond temporary World Cup displays.
