In Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, three students from government schools secured seats in prestigious engineering and technology institutions thanks to special coaching programs. M.

Logesh, R. Arumugavelan Raghavan, and I. Dharaniya all benefited from initiatives like the Vibrant Education Targeting Reputed Institution (VETRI) Palligal scheme and the ‘Thisai’ residential program.

Logesh, whose mother works at a brick kiln, earned a seat in Chemical Engineering at IIT Madras and awaits his NEET results. Dharaniya, daughter of a construction worker, gained admission to Food Technology at NIT Kurukshetra after attending a 15-day residential camp. Raghavan, who lives with a locomotor disability, will study Food Security and Development at NIT Hyderabad, crediting government programs with his success.

District Collector N.O. Sukhaputra has pledged to provide resources to support the students throughout their studies. These programs aimed to provide intensive test preparation and core subject reinforcement, enabling students from challenging socioeconomic backgrounds to compete for admission to top colleges.
