Peruvian University Advances Toward International Accreditation

The Universidad César Vallejo (UCV) in Peru received Candidate status from the Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE) , a key step toward full international accreditation. This recognition confirms UCV has established the foundational institutional elements necessary to pursue accreditation.

The university will now begin a comprehensive self-study, evaluating its standards in areas like governance, student experience, and academic processes. A follow-up international evaluation is scheduled for the 2028-2029 period.

MSCHE accreditation is highly regarded, as the organization also accredits institutions like University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University. UCV views this process as a commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring its educational model meets international standards and remains competitive.
