Venezuelans in Texas Send Aid After Earthquakes

Venezuelans living in Texas are collecting and packaging aid to send to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. The community established a collection center in Comfort, Texas, gathering essential items for delivery to families impacted by the June 24th seismic events.

Morelys Díaz is coordinating the effort, emphasizing the desire to provide assistance despite the distance. Volunteers from San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas contributed to the packaged supplies.

The aid will first travel to Miami before being shipped to Venezuela. Both Venezuelan and broader Hispanic communities in Texas have mobilized to support the relief effort, expressing gratitude for the widespread collaboration and a shared commitment to helping those in need.
