Rotary International Mobilizes Aid for Venezuela Earthquake Victims

Rotary International’s Distrito 4370 launched an immediate disaster response platform to assist over 6,000 families affected by earthquakes in Venezuela. The network is conducting on-the-ground engineering assessments and managing logistics to deliver humanitarian aid. Rotary members, along with young people from Rotaract and Interact, established collection centers throughout the country.

Volunteers are delivering potable water, non-perishable food, and first aid supplies directly to impacted communities, and the organization is receiving financial and material contributions from international delegations in Spain, Canada, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic.

Rotary also provided rescue tools and technical equipment to fire departments in Caracas and La Guaira, and delivered medications to several Venezuelan hospitals and the Cruz Roja Venezolana. The organization is planning to establish a “Rotary Village” in coordination with local and national governments, utilizing tents and supplies from Shelterbox to support displaced families and promote reunification.
