Tony and Mimy Succar Turn Real Story Into Salsa Anthem

Tony and Mimy Succar released the official music video for “Lo Bueno Viene Ya” (Good Things Are Coming), a salsa song inspired by the life of Lim Bances, a Peruvian immigrant. The song, from the album “ASUCCAR,” celebrates Bances’ journey from a humble childhood in Motupe, Peru, marked by discrimination, to building a successful life as an entrepreneur and community leader in the United States.

The music video, filmed in Lima and New York, visually depicts Bances’ perseverance and culminates in a symbolic reunion between the adult Bances and her younger self. Succar co-wrote the song with Diego Giraldo and Bances herself, blending Cuban-influenced salsa with strong brass arrangements.

Tony Succar emphasized the song’s message, to ignore negativity and trust in one’s destiny, is deeply connected to his own family’s experience as immigrants. The song features Mimy Succar, Tony’s mother and a two-time Grammy winner, along with other family members.
