Peru’s National Police dismantled 124 criminal gangs and four criminal organizations during 9,506 operations nationwide over 72 hours. Police detained 2,429 Peruvian citizens and 127 foreign nationals, plus 593 individuals with outstanding arrest warrants.
Authorities seized 66 firearms and 2,436 dynamite cartridges. They recovered approximately 890,446 Peruvian Soles from contraband. In Callao, police broke up a container robbery gang and recovered $87,000 worth of goods, arresting two suspects impersonating police.
The National Migration Superintendency conducted 1,759 operations this year. They checked 29,210 foreign citizens and identified 2,321 lawbreakers. They completed 732 expulsions and plan to implement migration verification posts by 2026, prioritizing border areas.
