Efinix Launches Low-Power FPGAs for Edge AI

Efinix released the Titanium Edge FPGA family, targeting low-power artificial intelligence and machine vision systems. The new family builds upon Efinix’s Titanium FPGA architecture and emphasizes reduced static power consumption. Devices include the Ti125, Ti40, Ti70, and Ti95, offering between approximately 39,000 and 123,000 logic elements.

The FPGAs feature configurable 2.5 Gbps MIPI I/O and built-in single-event upset (SEU) correction. System-in-Package (SiP) variants integrate SPI flash and HyperRAM for more compact system designs.

Efinix claims the Titanium Edge family consumes around 50% less static power than its high-end Titanium Ti375 and Topaz FPGA families while maintaining the Quantum architecture. These devices aim to serve applications in embedded AI, robotics, medical systems, and machine vision.
