18 Ancient Tombs Unearthed on Egypt’s Mediterranean Coast

Archaeologists discovered 18 ancient tombs in Marina el-Alamein, a town on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. The tombs range in age from the Late Period (664 to 332 BC) to the Ptolemaic Period (332 to 30 BC). Researchers found a variety of burial methods including burials inside sarcophagi and burials where the bodies were wrapped in cloth.
