Romanian University and Hospital Launch Nursing Scholarships

Romanian-American University and MONZA Hospital in Romania announced a partnership to offer annual merit-based scholarships to students in the Bachelor’s degree programme in General Nursing. The collaboration aims to strengthen ties between academia and healthcare, addressing the need for modern training in the medical field.

The first scholarship, equivalent to one year’s tuition, will be awarded starting with the 2026 to 2027 academic year and continue throughout the four-year programme, potentially extending further. The partnership follows a recent event discussing the future of nursing and emphasizes the importance of adapting academic programmes to evolving healthcare needs.

Both institutions plan to develop joint projects, career guidance for students, and opportunities for internships and mentorship. This initiative seeks to build an educational ecosystem connected to the realities of the healthcare system and invest in future healthcare professionals. The new School of Medical Sciences at Romanian-American University will offer the General Nursing programme this autumn, incorporating emerging technologies and extensive clinical placements into its curriculum.
