Why this is here: The program selected 50 students for a “Jungle Journey for Juniors” safari, bringing direct experience with Manas National Park’s ecosystems into their conservation education.

Over 600 students in Assam participated in a conservation learning experience. The “Rhino Goes to School” initiative, led by Aaranyak, immersed students near Manas National Park in forest ecosystems. Sessions focused on the greater one-horned rhinoceros and its habitat.

The program included quizzes, storytelling, and drawing competitions. Fifty students participated in a special educational safari called “Jungle Journey for Juniors.” This experience allowed students to directly observe the landscapes they studied.

Students were encouraged to become “Manas Mitras,” or friends of the forest. The initiative aimed to foster a sense of responsibility toward wildlife conservation. Organizers hope this program will create a lasting awareness and inspire future conservationists within local communities.
