Randoncorp Invests to Reuse All Factory Wastewater

Randoncorp invested 4.5 million reais to achieve 100% reuse of treated effluent across its manufacturing operations in Brazil. The company expanded water treatment capacity at facilities in Caxias do Sul, Sorocaba, Joinville, and Interlagos.

Randoncorp primarily invested in its Frasle Mobility Advanced Effluent Treatment Center, installing ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane filtration systems. This technology now allows the company to repurpose 4,680 cubic meters of water monthly for cooling towers and boilers.

Beyond these core applications, Randoncorp also uses the treated water for sanitation, floor washing, and irrigation. The company reports it no longer discharges any treated effluent into the environment. Randoncorp views this initiative as a key step toward resource management, circular economy practices, and bolstering operational resilience against water scarcity and climate change.
