Volkswagen ID.UNYX 08: New EV with Porsche Tech

Volkswagen’s ID.UNYX 08 electric SUV will launch in China as part of a new strategy. The vehicle was developed in Hefei, China, in 24 months. It features a bold design and German technical quality.
The ID.UNYX 08 utilizes China Electronic Architecture. This platform replaces many electronic control units with central computers. It reduces weight, simplifies wiring, and increases processing speed.
The SUV also includes an 800-volt system previously found in Porsche Taycan vehicles. This enables ultra-fast charging and improves energy efficiency.
Volkswagen partnered with Xpeng for software and digital integration on the project. The company plans to launch 50 new electric vehicles in China by 2030.
