Samsung Unveils AI-Powered Radar AC Unit

Why this is here: The new air conditioner identifies room occupants using radar technology to intelligently adjust airflow patterns for personalized comfort.
Samsung showcased its new Bespoke AI WindFree Pro air conditioner at the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2026 in Italy. The unit uses radar to detect people’s locations within a room. It then directs airflow via the Motion Wind system, which features three blades and seven airflow patterns.
The AC offers two AI modes. AI Direct Wind cools users directly, while AI Indirect Wind lowers room temperature without direct airflow. Samsung claims the AI Energy mode, controlled through the SmartThings app, can reduce electricity consumption by up to 30%.
Samsung also presented the EHS ClimateHub, a combined heating, cooling, and hot water system. The company’s DVM S2+ system for commercial use utilizes R32 refrigerant and adaptive control. Samsung says this system saves 25% of energy in certain conditions.
