Ecatepec Delivers Water & Paving After 13 Years of Neglect

Ecatepec officials inaugurated paving and water network construction in the Ejido de Santa María Tulpetlac neighborhood, Mexico, addressing over 13 years of infrastructure deficits. Mayor Azucena Cisneros Coss led the delivery of 200 meters of potable water and drainage networks along with the repaving of six streets using concrete.

The project required complex engineering to avoid a Pemex pipeline while connecting the new drainage system to the main wastewater canal. Previously, residents relied on septic tanks and water delivery by tanker truck.

The municipal program “Cimientos de Esperanza Mano a Mano” aims to pave a total of 53 streets in the area, working towards fully paved roads in the colony. Officials stated that past administrations had failed to address the longstanding infrastructure needs of the community.
