Sonora Opens First Integrated Health Coordination Center in Mexico

Sonora Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño inaugurated the first Health and Wellbeing Coordinating Center (Cecosabi) in Mexico, aiming to improve access to and efficiency of medical care within the state. The center will function as a C5i-style command center, coordinating medical services, pre-hospital care, and emergency response.

The project received over 53 million pesos in investment and prioritizes care for vulnerable populations. Cecosabi will streamline patient access by directing individuals to the nearest available medical unit, reducing wait times and bureaucratic delays.

The center will house 88 specialized professionals providing constant service, consolidating health sector actions through medical care regulation, telephone assistance, epidemiological monitoring, and disaster response.
