Viessmann Launches Accessible Heat Pump for European Market

Viessmann Climate Solutions Italia released the Vitocal 200-A ie heat pump, aiming to provide an efficient and affordable heating solution for European homes. The company collaborated with installers over three years to design a versatile system adaptable to existing heating infrastructure, including radiators.

The new heat pump utilizes R290 propane refrigerant, a natural, low-impact alternative, and integrates with Viessmann’s One Base Intelligence platform to optimize energy usage and respond to dynamic electricity pricing. The launch comes as the European heat pump market experienced 13% growth in 2023, with Italy remaining a key market for electrification of heating.

Viessmann intends to offer a high-quality product alongside financing options for installers and customers, supporting the renovation of existing heating systems. The company’s focus is on making decarbonization accessible while addressing the need for secure and affordable energy.
