Greek Young Adults Gain Mobile Fee Waivers

In Greece, citizens aged 15 to 29 can now apply for waivers on their mobile phone fees through an online platform. The application process uses personal TAXISnet credentials and requires an AMKA or PAAYPA number for both the applicant and any minor involved. Users also input the mobile number and provider to receive a one-time passcode for verification.

The system intends to streamline access to relief for families. A parent or guardian submits the application for citizens under 18. Currently, changing mobile numbers requires canceling the existing application and starting a new one with updated details.

The platform relies on users providing accurate information, as submitted data functions as a sworn statement. The government continues to refine the process and address potential complications as more citizens enroll.
