French Youth Deliver Free Air Conditioners to Seniors During Heat Waves

In the Hauts-de-Seine department of France, young volunteers with the No Limit Education association are delivering and installing free air conditioners for elderly residents. The association used 15,000 euros won in a regional contest to purchase the units, focusing on vulnerable individuals in areas like Nanterre.

The initiative goes beyond simply providing cooling. Volunteers like Mummia Dia, 20, and Naïlina Bois express a personal connection to the recipients, treating them as family and offering additional help around the house.

No Limit Education even traveled to Spain to buy around twenty air conditioners for approximately 3,600 euros. The association hopes to expand this support, as many seniors struggle with heat due to health conditions and lack access to adequate cooling.
