Nibe Launches High-Efficiency Propane Heat Pumps

Swedish manufacturer Nibe released the S2060 series of propane air-to-water heat pumps for homes and small businesses. The new line includes two inverter-controlled monoblock units, the S2060-6 and S2060-10, designed to replace fossil fuel heating systems in both new construction and retrofit projects.
These heat pumps utilize natural refrigerant propane (R290) and adjust output based on demand, reducing energy consumption. Nibe reports the S2060 series achieves a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 5.33 and an A+++ energy efficiency rating.
The systems can deliver flow temperatures up to 75 C and operate efficiently in cooling mode as well. Nibe emphasizes the quiet operation of the units, making them suitable for densely populated areas. The company intends these heat pumps to expand access to efficient and sustainable heating and cooling solutions.
