Geely’s New EV Powertrain Sets Efficiency Records

Geely Auto Group unveiled a new electric powertrain integrating 16 components into a single unit, achieving 93.8% efficiency and earning two Guinness World Records. The “16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive” system, developed with InfiMotion, will debut on the Geely TT model. It improves energy efficiency, power delivery, and thermal stability while reducing weight to 75 kilograms.

The powertrain demonstrated its capabilities in challenges around Qinghai Lake in China, achieving a record-low energy consumption of 8.20 kWh/100 km for a production sedan. It also completed a 46 kilometer twin vehicle drift on a wet surface, showcasing its torque control and thermal management.

Geely intends to leverage this technology to strengthen its presence in the European market as it expands its sales network there. The company views advanced electric drive systems as critical to future vehicle performance and customer experience.
