Blogger Drives 1,300km for Student

Yu Jinhui, a blogger in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China, drove 1,300 kilometers overnight with a fellow student. The student received news of her mother’s sudden death on May 7. She needed to travel to her rural hometown for the funeral.

Yu, a physical education student, accepted the request from the student’s roommate. He and three other students used their car for the trip. Yu consumed a large amount of energy drinks to remain awake during the long drive.

The group documented the journey on their social media account, @yuyuqiubite, which has roughly 730,000 followers. The roommate initially suggested the trip as content for their account, offering to cover fuel costs. The article does not state whether the student paid for petrol or if the video was published.
