Milence Opens Emission-Free Charging Station in the Netherlands

Milence opened a new charging station in Deurningen-Hengelo, Netherlands, built using only electric construction machines. The location along the A1 highway supports the North Sea-Baltic TEN-T Corridor, connecting logistics routes between Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium. Milence constructed the station as a test case for sustainable building practices, integrating electric machinery, smart logistics, and durable materials like PEFC-certified wood and fiber-reinforced concrete.

The company gained practical experience in planning and logistics during the build, intending to apply these lessons to future projects. The station, located at the Frans op den Bult truck stop, provides drivers with secure parking and facilities alongside fast charging.

Milence plans to expand charging capacity at the site to meet growing demand for electric trucking. The company views sustainability as central to its mission of accelerating the transition to electric road transport.
