The Olomouc Transport Company (DPMO) in the Czech Republic will purchase twenty electric buses to replace older diesel vehicles. DPMO chair Jaroslav Michalík stated the new buses will offer passengers modern, comfortable, and emission-free transport. The purchase will be supported by a grant from the European Union, covering 50 percent of eligible project costs.

The new buses will feature modern collision avoidance systems, full-vehicle air conditioning, passenger information systems, and USB charging ports. DPMO also plans to purchase ten new diesel buses for use as a backup and for special circumstances.

Delivery of the electric buses is expected in mid-2028, coinciding with the completion of new charging infrastructure. Charging will occur overnight at the DPMO depot and via fast-charging stations at select terminals during the day.
