Tinier App Processes Images Locally for Privacy

Tinier.app launched a suite of tools that compress, convert, upscale, and create GIFs from images and videos directly in a user’s web browser. The application utilizes WebAssembly and WebGPU to perform these functions without requiring any file uploads. Users maintain complete privacy as the tools continue to function even when offline.

The developers built Tinier.app to address concerns about data privacy with typical online image editing tools that require uploading personal media to external servers. The application currently supports JPG, PNG, WebP, and SVG formats, offering up to 70% compression and AI-powered upscaling.

Tinier.app is currently free to use with no account requirements, size limits, or watermarks. While a future “Pro” tier may introduce server-side features, the core browser-based tools will remain accessible without charge.
