Kazakh Artist Lives Nomadic Life to Explore Cultural Memory

Radina Yassuyeva, a Kazakh artist, spent one year living in a yurt on the steppe in Kazakhstan to understand the realities behind traditional nomadic life. She sought to move beyond historical accounts and experience the culture firsthand, questioning what constitutes authentic tradition versus national myth.
