Uzbekistan Sets Fiscal Course Through 2029

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance developed a Fiscal Strategy for 2027 to 2029, establishing a framework for medium-term budget planning. The strategy forecasts key macroeconomic indicators and prioritizes maintaining budget stability, improving public financial management, and ensuring effective allocation of state expenditures.

The document also addresses strengthening the state budget’s revenue base and monitoring public debt sustainability through risk assessment and balanced financial management. Uzbekistan intends to increase transparency in budget processes by developing public finance reporting and improving access to information regarding government funds. This Fiscal Strategy will guide the preparation of draft state budget laws and execution reports for the 2027 to 2029 period, aligning annual budget planning with the government’s medium-term economic forecasts and priorities.
