Limerick Hurlers Return Home as All-Ireland Champions

Tens of thousands of supporters welcomed the Limerick senior hurling team home to Limerick city, Ireland on Monday after they secured the All-Ireland title. The team arrived at Colbert railway station before parading through the People’s Park and culminating in a celebration at Pery Square. They were joined by the Limerick minor team, who also won the All-Ireland minor title last month.

Captain Cian Lynch held the Liam MacCarthy Cup aloft while manager John Kiely expressed his joy. Supporters young and old shared their excitement, with one eight-year-old claiming his prayers contributed to the team’s goals in both the semi-final and final matches.
