A fire severely damaged the roof of a historic home in Tienen, Belgium, leaving two residents temporarily displaced. The fire started Tuesday afternoon on Oude Kleerkoperstraat and spread quickly due to strong winds.
Firefighters contained the blaze and prevented it from spreading to adjacent homes. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown but may be related to ongoing work at the property. Neighbors organized immediate emergency shelter for the two residents.
The mayor of Tienen also arranged overnight accommodation for residents of neighboring homes that suffered water damage. The displaced residents cannot return home at this time.
