Belgian Family’s Bull Wins Championship After Three Generations of Farming

The Christophe family of Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher, Belgium, secured a championship title at the bull competition in Hollogne-sur-Geer on Saturday with their bull, “Pont des Messes.” Henri Christophe, his daughter, and his son Pierre-Henri all participated in the event, representing three generations of cattle farmers.

The family entered two bulls into the competition, with “Pont des Messes” ultimately winning the overall championship after competing against two other bulls. The name references a historical path used by locals to reach church.

“Pont des Messes” will now be sold for breeding purposes and sent to a center for insemination. The event itself saw 240 participants throughout the day. The Christophe family expressed immense pride in their win and continuing their family tradition.
