WWII Vehicles Revived at Belgian Fort

Enthusiasts in Pepinster, Belgium restored a Dodge WC51 and hosted historical days at Fort de Tancrémont, attracting crowds interested in World War II vehicles. After five years of work, Daniel Bertholome of Fléron showcased his fully restored Dodge, having disassembled and repainted the chassis. The event featured dozens of exhibitors and demonstrations including a field hospital and demolition equipment.

The historical days aim to demonstrate what the WWII era looked like, appealing to those fascinated by the period and its material culture. Organizers kept entry fees low at 2 euros to maximize attendance.

The event builds on the success of its first edition last year, which drew 5000 visitors. Organizers hoped to exceed that number in 2026, noting increased participation from both collectors and exhibitors.
