Why this is here: The association will hold an open house on March 28 featuring presentations from medical professionals and a preview of their Dragon Boat project, hoping to attract participants and funding.

Two cancer survivors in Mons, Belgium are launching a nonprofit organization called PasSages on March 28. Katarzyna Dereszowska and Hakima Mernine founded the association in November 2025. PasSages aims to supplement traditional cancer care with creative and physical activities.

The organization will offer art therapy and dance workshops. These activities, in partnership with Compagnie théâtrale Barbiana and ASBL Et si c'était moi ?, will culminate in a live performance. Founders believe dance and art can help patients regain control of their bodies and express emotions.

PasSages also plans to introduce Dragon Boat racing. This team sport is recognized for its benefits in post-breast cancer rehabilitation. The group seeks sponsors, including Adeps and the Cancer Foundation, to fund a boat and trailer.
