Pottes School Students Enjoy a Greener Playground

Students at the Pottes municipal school in Belgium now have a newly greened playground. School director Dominique Praet describes the former space as mostly mineral and uninviting. The school inaugurated the redesigned recreation area during its open house weekend.

The project transformed the courtyard into a more welcoming space with plants and opportunities to observe animals. Local municipal workers completed the physical construction. Teachers will guide students in using the space for learning about nature and biodiversity.

Parents and teachers collaborated on the project, even building a circular bench around a tree. The school hopes the space will foster respect for the environment and a connection to the natural world.
