Bosnian Author Publishes Biography of Muhammad

Why this is here: The book will be published simultaneously in six languages—Bosnian, English, Arabic, French, German, and Spanish—expanding its reach beyond the region.

Muhamed Mahmutović published “Ostvarena misija,” a fictionalized biography of the last prophet of God, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The book aims to present Muhammad’s life and message to readers of all faiths through strong storytelling and historical atmosphere. Dobra knjiga printed the book, which will also appear in English, Arabic, French, German, and Spanish.

Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina wrote a review for the book.

Regional intellectuals Ferid Muhić, Safvet Halilović, Almir Fatić, and Dijana Marković also contributed reviews. Cultural workers note that it is rare for a single book to gather so many prominent figures in Bosnian literature.

Mahmutović spent over two decades researching historical sources and compiling material for this project. Publishers and event organizers in Europe, the United States, and Canada have already expressed interest in promoting the book, with author events planned.
