Falcon Buses Launches Electric Fleet in Surrey

Falcon Buses began deploying 13 electric Alexander Dennis Enviro200EVs on routes across Surrey, England. The British-built buses are 10.9 meters long and can seat up to 37 passengers. Falcon Buses equipped its Byfleet depot with a charging solution from VEV, including a 1500kVA power supply and nine chargers ranging from 60kW to 120kW.

The buses will initially run on Route 436 between Weybridge and Woking, and later on Route 461 connecting multiple towns and St Peters Hospital.

Falcon Buses received funding for the acquisition from Surrey County Council and the Department for Transport’s ZEBRA 2 scheme. The company aims to transition its entire fleet to electric vehicles by 2033 and views this launch as a key step towards that goal.
